Deadmau5 launches to Planet Cream in Adelaide

It’s official: Creamfields and Deadmau5 will both be gracing the shores of our fair city come April.

Adelaide will play host to the iconic international music festival for the first time ever, albeit in a slightly different form. Planet Cream, as it has been dubbed, will be held at the Entertainment Centre in an unorthodox move that departs from the conventional outdoor setups of past festivals.

Expectations are running high following the announcement as Adelaide punters can finally experience what is arguably the world’s greatest electronic festival. Over 12 years, close to 3 million people in 17 countries have attended the music event masterminded by the Totem Onelove Group, who have promised the 2011 edition will be sporting “larger stages and epic production” with some of the “world’s best acts”.

Deadmau5’s inclusion is a massive coup for Creamfields as the enigmatic Canadian has enjoyed significant success in the past year.

Best known for donning a trademark LED mau5head when performing, Joel Zimmerman notably scooped up Best Electro House DJ and Best International DJ at the Ibiza Club Awards in addition to climbing up to 4th place on DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 DJ list.

The Grammy nominated artist will be touring in support of his new compilation album 4×4=12 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for Planet Cream on Friday April 22nd.
